FC Naples Makes History with Win and Clinch a Home Playoff Berth!
Naples, FL — In front of a crowd of more than 1,500 passionate fans, FC Naples closed out their inaugural USL League One regular season in unforgettable fashion, defeating Charlotte Independence 2–0 at Paradise Coast Sports Complex.
The victory not only capped off an incredible first season — it clinched a home playoff game, a monumental achievement for the new club. With the win, FC Naples becomes the first expansion team in USL League history to both reach the playoffs and host a postseason match in their debut season.
The energy inside the stadium was electric as the final whistle blew, signaling more than just a win — it marked a defining moment in the rise of professional soccer in Southwest Florida.
