After a successful debut in 2022, the Southwest Florida Shootout lacrosse event will feature a Division-I lacrosse doubleheader at Paradise Coast Sports Complex (PCSC) in 2023. Powerhouse programs Michigan, Marquette, defending SWFL Shootout champ Ohio State and Virginia will play at PCSC on Feb. 25, 2023. Michigan takes on Marquette in the first game at 3 p.m., with Ohio State facing Virginia at 7 p.m. Ticket packages will be available at SouthwestFloridaShootout.com on Dec. 1.

Both games will be played inside the PCSC Stadium, the crown jewel of Collier County’s 180-acre multipurpose sports complex just north of the intersection of SR 951 and I-75. One ticket gains entry to both games, and live music will be featured on PCSC’s Great Lawn along with food trucks.

“The Southwest Florida Shootout event last February was a highlight of the year for Paradise Coast Sports Complex and we are delighted to host this event again in 2023 and beyond,” PCSC General Manager Adrian Moses said. “These games provide high-energy entertainment and we encourage residents and visitors alike to come and experience the atmosphere of what will be a huge weekend for the complex and Collier County.”

In addition to the D1 doubleheader are The Winter Classic boys and men’s lacrosse tournaments held Feb. 24-26 across Paradise Coast Sports Complex. Boy’s youth brackets will be for graduation years 2027-2031, and all players will receive a free pair of sunglasses. Men’s adult brackets will be 21-over, over-30, over-40, over-50 and over-60, with each player receiving a free pair of sunglasses and each men’s team receiving a special gift after their last game on Feb. 24.

Michigan, Marquette, Ohio State and Virginia will practice from 6-7:30 p.m. on Feb. 24 and then host a free youth clinic from 7:30-8 p.m. Participants can watch and learn from top players and coaching staffs in the country.

“The Southwest Florida Shootout is back and will be bigger and better than this past February’s Shootout,” said Southwest Florida Shootout director Tom Rotanz. “The lacrosse fans of Southwest Florida are in for a real treat seeing the best lacrosse players in the country playing in Naples!”

All attendees of the Southwest Florida Shootout and The Winter Classic are asked to bring two non-perishable items for donation to the St. Matthew’s House food bank of Naples.
