Women's top collegiate lacrosse clubs compete in paradise to crown a national champion
Welcome to the 2026 USA Lacrosse Women’s Collegiate Lacrosse Associates
(WCLA) National Championship. This is one of the most exciting weeks of the year, where teams from across the country meet in one place to display their passion, grit, and love for the game. Whether you are competing, coaching, or cheering from the sidelines, you are part of something special, and we are thrilled to have you here.
This year carries extra meaning as we celebrate some incredible milestones.
Women’s lacrosse in the United States is marking 100 years of history, and the WCLA is celebrating its 25th championship season, with one pause along the way. What started as a small but determined movement has grown into a national force, now featuring 137 club teams across 45 states and nearly 2,500 student athletes. That is a powerful testament to the commitment of this community andthe unique place the WCLA holds in growing the game at the collegiate level.
What makes the WCLA so special is not just the numbers, but the spirit.
This is a community built by players who choose to keep competing, who balance academics and athletics, and who continue to elevate the game through leadership, camaraderie, and a genuine love of lacrosse. The energy, sportsmanship, and competitiveness you bring to this championship embody everything that makes our sport great.
As you take the field this week, take a moment to appreciate what you have built together. Every practice, every road trip, and every game has led to this moment. Compete hard, support one another, and enjoy every second. These are the memories that will last long after the final whistle.
We are riding incredible momentum as a sport, and events like this are at the heart of it. With eyes already looking ahead to the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, the growth of women’s lacrosse continues to accelerate, and expand.
