Paradise Coast Sports Complex continues to make Collier County headlines and history!

On July 6th, Paradise Coast Sports Complex made history in a few distinct ways.  It hosted the first-ever Collier County Drone Show “Drones in Paradise”, to celebrate Independence Day weekend and set a new all-time high for attendance at Paradise Coast Sports Complex.

The event exceeded expectations and featured family entertainment for all ages.  The record crowd of more than 8,000 visitors fully enjoyed the five-hour spectacle.  There were bounce houses, obstacle courses, laser tag, RC cars, family games, face painting, amazing food trucks, refreshing ice-cold drinks and more.

“It’s great to see so many people from the community come out to our wonderful venue and to see such cutting-edge technology to help celebrate Independence Day.  It’s an exciting event. We get to write a script here using this wonderful facility and I had chills watching that show, it was everything I thought it was going to be and more,” said Adrian Moses, the General Manager of Paradise Coast Sports Complex.

Prior to the Drone Show, visitors filled the Championship Stadium to enjoy the movie “Night at the Museum” on the 40’ outdoor video screen, giving them a chance to get comfortable before the big show.

Shortly after the movie ended and before the drone show, there was an iconic flyover with the Bell-429 helicopter piloted by Corporal Josh White and Matt Perez.

Promptly at 9 PM, the historical “Drones in Paradise” show began and had the fully packed stadium and crowd of over 8,000 roaring in excitement.  The awesome 12-minute show featured 300 drones performing mesmerizing designs and animations; it also featured the Collier County logo and our very own Paradise Coast Sports Complex logo! The crowd was in awe after every magical transition during the show.

Immediately following the drone show, everyone was invited to attend the “Stars & Stripes After Party”, which featured more food and drink options, raffle ticket contests for fantastic prizes, and a special live band performance by Foreman’s Five all on The Great Lawn.

The entire event had a special kind of energy from start to finish.  You could feel and hear the buzz around the crowd as the night progressed.  This event will certainly be talked about for many years to come. Paradise Coast Sports Complex continues to put on some of the most incredible, large-scale events for the Collier County community, and we can’t thank you enough for joining us!
